How safe is blogging?

Everyone must be aware of blogging but a very few might be aware of its consequences. Whenever a blog refers to reality there is always a danger of violating some rule or hurting someone’s feelings.
So before writing a blog one should keep in mind that the designing blog should be proper i.e. it should be justified. Also the content which one chooses should not be offensive. There are numerous examples of people being sued for making personal remarks. People issuing crude remarks on government policies, on politicians, if caught, are made to face legal consequences.
Another area which can be dangerous is blogging about technologies. Sometimes people from the industry, knowingly or unknowingly, reveal the plans of their new projects resulting in their downfall. Recently a worker from a top IT industry was sacked and was fined heavily. This was just because he had revealed the name of new software to be launched by the company in a blog about web design.
Another area which one should take care is design blog. Sometimes some people just copy the idea from somewhere and authorize it under their name. This can lead to severe consequences if caught. Blogging about such designs can lead to the revelation of the secret to the original company. This may prove fatal to the company copying it.
There are several other areas which can be dangerous. This should not stop people from blogging just because nothing in the world is completely safe.
