Choosing Your Career

By admin | March 25, 2008

There’s so many jobs out there, but we don’t want to get stuck in a job we don’t like. On the other hand, sometimes it’s hard to find the type of job we know we want. But if you’re still not sure what type of career you’d like to be in, whether it’s just in the near term or the long term, do some brainstorming. Take some career assessment tests, write a list of things you like to do, or a list of jobs you think is interesting. This should give you a general idea of the type of career to pursue further. After that, do some investigating on that career path. What’s the salary range? Is there room for promotion? Does it fit with my personal or family lifestyle? Do I have the skills, knowledge and education to qualify for that type of career?

Ask yourself some of these questions, and you’ll be a step closer to choosing your career!
