Celebration Of A Gay Fest: Different Kind

The Gay Fest 2008 which is held in Romania annually has slowly become an event of national importance, while allowing a large number of people with homosexual tendencies to come out of their confines and celebrate their alternative sexuality with people from different ethnic backgrounds.
Gay Fest takes place every year in the city of Bucharest, Gay Romania and is again due to occur during may 10-24 in all its fanfare, complete with gay parades, exhibitions, debates and celebration of alternative sexuality on the whole. This Gay Fest is host to a number of LGBT events of cultural importance, such as film screenings and art exhibitions, several parties and theatre activities. Some other highlights of this gay fest include the political debates regarding the social and legitimate rights of gay men.
The Gay Fest has come a long way since it was first introduced in the year 2004 when it was subjected to harsh critical comments from strong political forces which stressed that it was too early to introduce the concept of gay parades in Romanian society.
However, today this fest receives support not only from Romanian but also most of European countries. The fest also includes fashion shows, which go by the name of Miss Travesti to add some glam quotient to the entire event.
